On April 27-28, 2006, Prof. dr Zbigniew Sierota participated in a final meeting with the coordinators of 10 "NAS-Newly Associated States" Centres of Excellence (including the FOREST RESEARCH INSTITUTE in Warsaw) in the Agro-Food sector funded under the FP5 joint call QoL/Growth/EESD-2001-INTEGR (“NAS II”). The meeting was organise on the initiative of the European Commission and in collaboration with the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry in Riga.

The meeting aimed at assessing the final achievements from each project, drawing conclusions from the tasks performed and exploring future research perspectives also with a view to strengthening the integration of the New Member States in the ERA.
