Within a framework of task WP2.3 , „Environmentally acceptable methods of soil pests control" Dr Marek Dobrowolski from Department of Forest Protection FRI visited in 16-19 March the Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry Laimburg (Centro per la Sperimentazione Agraria e Forestale Laimburgu) in Italy. The aim was to discuss issues regarding the latest methods of forest protection against May and chestnut beetles.
During the visit, following topics will be discussed:
  1. possibilities of cooperation development in a range of forest protection methods against beetles with use of insecticides;
  2. used in Italy methods of beetles’ quantity population limitation;
  3. possibilities of cooperation in research on ecologic results of different methods of beetles control.
