BACK TO PRECEDING PAGE In a framework of WP7.1, dr Wojciech Grodzki took a part in seminar titled: “Modern methods in forest protection”. The meeting, held on February 24, 2005 in Kostelc, Czech Republic was organized by the Research Institute of Forestry and Wildlife Management in Jiloviste-Strnady and Czech Forestry Society as a “29th meeting of foresters’ three generations”. Dr Grodzki presented paper about “GIS in research and practice of forest protection” where the wide presentation of activities realized in PROFOREST Centre of Excellence in a range of building of databases for Central Europe and digital maps of biotic threats (WP7.1) was encompassed. Participation in the seminar gave opportunity to promote the Centre and improve cooperation with partners from Czech Republic in a range of GIS and databases network.
