On 6-11 March 2006, in the framework of task WP 4.3 ‘Activities promoting genetic diversity conservation of forest tree species’, Dr Jan Kowalczyk, M.Sc. Jan Matras and M.Sc. Piotr Markiewicz from Department of Forest Genetics and Trees Physiology FRIW, visited the Forest Research Institute of Sweden in Uppsala, Sweden. The aim of the visit was to become familiar with research regarding genetic diversity of forest tree species and methods of genetic diversity conservation in Swedish forests and to start closer cooperation with the SKOGFORSK.
