Within a framework of WP1.4 task, there was a visit of two scientists from Germany, prof. Ulrich Lüttge from Institute of Botany, Darmstadt University of Technology and prof. Hardy Pfanz from Institute of Applied Botany, Duisburg-Essen University. The aim of workpackage WP1.4 is dissemination of knowledge and initiation of common research on molecular ecophysiology of forest trees. To fulfill these goals, the specialists will inter alia carried on research concerning possibilities of use the chlorophyll fluorescence measurements to determine ecophysiological condition of Bia³owie¿a Forest’s trees and discuss on possible common research project realization. Additionally, prof. Hardy Pfanz presented on June 24 paper concerns "Twig and stem photosynthesis of woody plants. Do trees really need leaves?".

Department of Forest Genetics and Tree Physiology of FRIW was host with dr Krzysztof Rakowski as a task leader.
